EuroSim Release Plan
This page provides information on the planning of upcoming release. The general logic applie dby the consortium is that every year around may a major release will be issued. In between major releases, minor releases may occur, driven by the need for new features in projects. Please check this page regularly when you are targeting for a specific release as minor releases can shift due to changing project needs. If you have a current maintenance contract you can request free upgrades from the EuroSim helpdesk.
Release Plan (last updated December 2011):
- EuroSim 4.3 - Jul 1, 2011 - Driven by the ET project
New features include Embedded Simulation, Improved Metrics
facitilies, expanded C++ API and resolution of a list of
SPRs, particularly on ScheduleEditor and Scheduler
- EuroSim 4.4 - Dec 20, 2011 - Driven by the SMP2 compliance project
New features include a nearly full implementation of SMP2
support, though not tailored to hard real-time usage.
The list of Resolved sprs will be published on release.
- EuroSim 5.0 - Sep 1, 2012 - Major upgrade
This release will be formally introduced at the SESP2012
conference that takes place at ESA/Estec in September.
New features will include 64 bit support, QT4, new distribution
support, including Windows 7 (or 8). In addition the consortium
is looking at introducing a new licenses and product strategy,
including interfaces with new partner products. The website
will be updated as well to support more interaction with the
customers.
