EuroSim RunTime Training Course ( 1 day, max 8 persons)

The EuroSim runtime training course is aimed at users who will be provided with a ready-to-run, customised EuroSim simulator and who have to develop, execute and analyse tests running on that simulator. In EuroSim user roles, this covers Test Conductors (domain specialists carrying out and interacting with the simulation) and Test Analysts (domain specialists analysing the test results). Additionally this course includes a training on how to utilize thhe runtime client server interfaces provided by EuroSim to attach clients such as mission control tooling, emulators and visualisation.

The knowledge gained in the EuroSim Foundation Training Course is a prerequisite for entering the RunTime Training Course. The focus in the runtime course is on the scripting capabilities of EuroSim. Where the foundation course uses the graphical EuroSim tool to execute and control simulations, the EuroSim Runtime course will teach the test engineer to utilize EuroSim's scripting capabilities. In addition this course will teach the test engineer the protocol and interfaces required to integrate EuroSim in a larger test facility.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • define simulation execution conditions using the Mission Definition Language (MDL);
  • create scripts in various languages to control and execute EuroSim simulations in a batch mode
  • integrate EuroSim simulators with other test execution control facilities
The runtime training course lasts 1 day, the majority of the time being spent working on test preparation and execution using a case study. The final section has a more flexible format: after completion of any outstanding case study activities, participants are encouraged to investigate EuroSim functions according to their own particular interests. Ideas are available from the trainer, but participants may wish to bring project specific material along to the course in order to begin designing a mission for example. The training is given by a simulation specialist who has significant experience with the use of EuroSim.

The hands-on nature of the training means that the ratio of trainers to participants is kept high. Training can be carried out at Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands (Leiden) or on-site, assuming that an appropriate EuroSim installation is available. Costs depend on the number of participants and location: please contact EuroSim Product Support to discuss your needs.
