Objective The National Aerospace Laboratory NLR of the Netherlands has developed a set of new-generation Test and Verification Equipment (TVE) for use in the application integration and testing of Altitude and Orbit Control Subsystems of spacecraft, a.o. Telecommunication satellites. The TVE Test Software is built around a general-purpose simulation support tool, called ProSim, developed at NLR. ProSim is a special-purpose extension of EuroSim. ProSim is extended with TVE-specific commands and with an interface with the TVE Front End. TVE is used in the cornerstone 2000 programme of ESA in:
TVE is a successor to the MACS-TSA, which has been used by ESTEC, Dutch Space, A?spatiale and Alenia Spazio in the ISO, SAX and SOHO projects. A prototype TVE has been built under contract to ESA/ESTEC, in close co-operation with Adelsy of Switzerland and Dutch Space. The TVE will become the standard equipment for functional testing and validation of spacecraft attitude control systems of ESA spacecraft.
