Objective For the EGSE-BB project a Legacy Service Adapter is build to demonstrate control and monitoring of a EuroSim real-time simulation as part of a Validation EGSE System with a representative Central Checkout System and SCOE applications. Context The Building Blocks Approach for EGSE activity is intended to validate the EGSE Interface Model with respect to usability, correctness and completeness, and to recommend modifications to the interface definition, if required. The Prototype project shall address the issues of migration of existing applications/modules using legacy protocols towards using the protocols defined by the EGSE ICD and the coexistence of applications/modules using legacy protocols with application/modules using the protocols of the new EGSE ICD within the same system.
